Groundhog Event

 In the first week of the Strongest Warzone (SvS) the Sunday is the Groundhog event.

You have 20 attempts to hit the Groundhog with the best you have got and score points for the event. The attacks do not cost stamina, so you can use your strongest troop for all 20 attacks.
Use all shooters in your troop (unless you have a Special Ant that needs Guardians or Carriers). If you are unsure about your troop formation share battle reports in chat to get advise on your choice of ants. Results between attacks may vary quite a bit due to the luck factor.

Use a 20% attack bonus. You can buy these from the Clan Store.

Tips to optimize your score on your own:

• Turn on your Raspberry
• Teleport next to a Groundhog
• Only use your strongest troop
• Go in and out 20 times, the 30 minutes should be enough, choose Invade instead of Rally

Tips to optimize with a team of five (including yourself):

• The ideal situation is to have five players who haven't done an attack yet
• declare that you work together in clan chat
• All five move around the same Groundhog
• Turn on your Raspberries
• The strongest player with highest lv Troop Tunnel starts the Rally
• Only these five players join the rallies (remove players from further away)
• Go in and out 20 times, the 30 minutes should be enough

Don'ts:

• If a group has declared that they work together do not join their rallies
• Do not start or join several rallies at once, only use your strongest troop
• Don’t use the team technique with less than 5 players or from a distance. The rallies will take longer to start.

In the end most points can be gained from rallies, because of the troop tunnel boost. However, rallies that are not full, or that are organized from further away take more time. More raspberries are needed to cover all rallies. That is good if you have enough raspberries, but otherwise you might up with a lower score in total.

Keep track of your progress each time the event returns, you should be able to hit the Groundhog harder with the progress you can make over the two week period. Evolutions, development of Special Ants, finding players to team up with, etc.

Butchering Insects

It is not easy getting Orange Insects, they hardly ever turn up in your nests. You will get the occasional egg from the Reliable Ally event.

But you can butcher your Blue and Purple Insects for Shells to buy an Orange one. See the screenshots below for the steps to take. Save these actions to perform on Sunday when you have turned your Raspberry on to get maximum points for the Strongest Warzone (SvS).

Note that you get the best return if you do not star up the insects, but butcher them at star lv 1. Higher than star 2 they yield less shells combined (for instance a 3 star Blue = 165 shells while 4x 1 star Blue = 4 x 42 = 168 shells. At higher levels the difference increases).

If there are Insects you do not want to butcher by accident, protect them by the lock symbol in the information screen.

Make your first Lizard count

It is tempting to get your first Lizard of the day checked off by going for a low level one at the start of your day. It will give you the +80 points for your daily task, but you will miss out on a great bonus.

For your first Lizard you get a special kill reward. The one for the level 30 is by far the best. Including 60 Creature Remains. And those are the gold for your Zone Development.

You do not have to be the one to start the rally, if you are not strong enough yet, you can come along with stronger players who will manage the killing on their own, or with a little help. Know the % you can (help) knock off. The strongest player should start the rally, that boosts the strenght of the other players.

Look in zone chat for Lizard buddies. Smaller players: ask if you can join a rally. Stronger players: advertise how much help you need or how many players can come along for free.

The more we help each other to get these rewards, the stronger we will grow as a clan and perform better in SvS. Save your Creature Remains for Wednesdays.

2 Blue ants that boost EXP

The Superb Spiny and Black Fire are two blue Special Ants that can help boost EXP for your other Special Ants by hunting wild creatures. These two ants have a skill that boosts the amount of EXP gained by other Special Ants in the troop. The maximum boost is 50%, it will be stacked when both ants are used in one troop for a maximum of 100%.

In case you haven't unlocked or maximized the skills of these ants, wait till Thursday. Unlocking the skills and using spores will score points for the Strongest Warzone on Thursday. Combined with a Advanced Raspberry even 100% extra.

Rotate the Blue Ants in your troops. Put both in a troop that has three slots for special ants and just one when there are two slots. For extra speed you can put in T2 carriers instead of your usual troops. But make sure your troop is still strong enough to beat the wild creature. Lv 15 creatures give the most EXP, but a quick hit on a lower level creature that is close by can be worthwile too. There is no distinction between the different kind of creatures, all kinds of the same level give the same EXP.

The examples below are an attack on a lv 15 creature, with zero, one, and two blue ants in the troop. Both ants have their skill at lv 4, giving a 20% boost per ant.

Creature Remains

 

Creature remains or Fish Skeletons are your key to getting a higher score in the Strongest Warzone (SvS). Save them up till Wednesday and use them in Evolution while your Raspberry is activated to score extra points.

Focus on using them in the Zone Development first. At least untill you have unlocked the Intermediate Rewards and the Points Bonus I. This will unlock the 4th - 6th reward and double your points. More rewards mean more skeletons.

Your next aim are the Advanced Rewards. This will unlock the  7th - 9th reward. These are the best rewards you can get if you score enough points. Not easy to reach on all days. But the more you know how to optimize your score, the better rewards you will be able to earn. So even more skeletons!

It pays to continue towards the Points Bonus II. But it will take a lot of skeletons, resources and accelerators. Don't get discouraged, it will take time, but the rewards are great. The ultimate goal is to get the Double Rewards, for that you have to develop Healing to MAX as well.

Although the development of your army and soldiers also depend on the use of Creature Remains, it still is best to focus on maximizing Zone Development first. The bigger rewards will make further development faster.

Only if you are close to the next reward in your evolutions on Wednesday and don’t have enough skeletons for another step in Zone Development, it might pay to look in your combat or soldier categories to score the points you need. An extra reward means extra skeletons.

Using the Raspberry

Normal Raspberry and Advanced Raspberry

 Making good use of your Raspberries is key to optimizing your score in the Strongest Warzone (SvS).

A normal Raspberry will boost your event points by 50% for half an hour. The Advanced Rasberry will give a 100% boost, also for half an hour. The buffs cannot be stacked, so you cannot use more than one Raspberry at the same time.

Out of Advanced Raspberries? You can redeem 4 Normal Raspberries for one Advanced Raspberry.

The Raspberries can be used and redeemed from the Inventory, or from the Buff menu at the Queen.

The better your scores get, the more Raspberries you will earn as rewards. If you use them wisely you should not run out.

Dressing up

At certain levels your anthill will get a different look. But you can also build up a collection of different skins to give it a more fancy look. Even if you don't want to put on these skins it is still worthwhile to collect them, because they give buffs that are in effect by just owning the skin.

Each week you can earn skin fragments in the event called Force of Life/Nature/Desert ... etc. If you have a perfect week getting to lv 20 you will have 100 fragments and can buy 1 skin. If you are not so lucky you can just save up the fragments till you have enough.

Go to the queen and click on the button to the right to open the screen where you can choose the skins. You can browse through the skins to see what buffs they give and what you need to buy them (click on the button "source" for that). Some skins can only be bought from packs or certain events.
Choose the skin you like and buy it. Activate it to make it part of your collection. Now you can choose if you want to wear it or not. As soon as it is activated the buff will be in effect.

By spending the skin fragments you will also gain experience points for your hill. The level you reach will be shown by a number of stars above your hill. These levels will also give you buffs. You can spend fragments directly to gain experience, but do NOT use this option. It is always better to buy a skin, because it will give you the same experience points AND the buff of the skin.

Trading at the Lady Bug

At the Lady Bug you can trade diamonds and resources and get nice deals on special items. Upgrade the Lady Bug to reduce the time between visits and get more items on offer.

The contents of the store:

The number of items available depends on the level of the Lady Bug. At lv 13 you get offers in each row.

Top row: Honeydew. Unless you are really short on this it is not very interesting to take these trades.

Second row: Resources. Anything you can buy for meat is interesting. If there is any sand on offer, take it.

Third row: Speed ups. If they can be bought with resources they might be interesting, but do not waste sand. You can consider the xx% offers if you would want to spend diamonds. But Speed ups are better earned as bonus in events.

Fourth row: Special Items. These can be buffs or items to upgrade special buildings. The buffs can also be bought from the clan store, it is not interesting to spend diamonds on them. The special items are more interesting. These can be Toxic Mushroom (for the Toxic Fungi), Rocks (for the Entrance) and Refined Sand (for the Troop Tunnel). They will always be cheaper than in the shop. Note that these can contain 1, 10 or 100 items.

Once you have taken your picks you can reset the items once for free with the button in the top right corner. After that a reset will costs 1000 diamonds and is not worth it.

Every day you can find two free offers in the pack shop, scroll all the way down in the first two categories. You can save the diamonds for deals from the lady bug and save the eggs and kiwi honeydew for the special ants event on Thursdays.
And it will take some time, but eventually the orange ant fragments can be redeemed for an orange shell.

Water please

Through the Exotic Pea you can get up to 690 diamonds daily. It takes five drops of water that other players can give when they visit your anthill. Each time you harvest the Exotic Pea it will level up and give more diamonds. Level 60 is the maximum, with 690 diamonds.

You can claim the diamonds only once per day, so do not forget to do this before the new day starts at 00:00 UTC. If you are missing one or more drops you can ask your fellow players in the chat. There even is an universal ant for this.

You can also see who gave you a drop of water. When you open the Exotic Pea, where you can claim your diamonds, you can also open a list from the top right corner. This list shows you who recently gave you a drop of water. You can use the button next to the player to visit them back and see if they need a drop. Before you know it you have a steady group of visitors.

Protect your assets

 Although we are a peaceful bunch and the server is mainly aimed towards SvS play, we should be aware that raiding for resources is an important aspect of the game. The NAP prevents constant attack, but there are always rogues around looking for free resources and easy targets.

Your depots can hold millions, but keep the amount of free resources in your hill as low as possible. Do not open packs from your inventory until you need them. The only exception is meat, always have at least 5M (or more, you will have plenty) in your depot. The enemy will load up on this first, making the loss of more valuable resources lower.

When you are saving up for a big upgrade or evolution, protect your free resources by shielding up when you are offline.

If you do not want to run the risk of losing soldiers make sure the garrisons in your entrance are empty by unticking the box for each troop. Note that your hill is now without defense, except for the level of the Entrance and the Toxic Fungi. Shield up if you have resources to protect.

Shields can often be earned as rewards in events, or can be bought from the Clan Shop. Make your daily contributions to Clan Evolution to earn points to spend in the Shop.

The higher these numbers are, the more you can lose.
Exception is meat, keep this high to fill up the enemy.

Keep your garrison empty if you do not want to lose soldiers.

By (un)ticking the box you decide which troops defend your hill

NAP 15 and Farm Clan

The server has a NAP 15, a Non Aggression Pact between the top 15 alliances. You can check the top 15 by clicking on your power level and going to the leader boards. If you do attack a member within the top 15 send a message as soon as possible to apologize and inform one of our R4's. If no one is online also check if the attack is mentioned in zone chat and apologize there. If it is not mentioned you do not have to post in zone chat.

When you are attacked yourself by a member from an alliance in the NAP do not retaliate. Inform a member of the R4 and they will deal with it. We are a neutral and peaceful alliance.

We also have members with one or more farms in our Farm Clan DwA. Unless it is your own farm, you are not allowed to atack these hills.
The server wide agreement is that Farm Clans are named after their main clan. So respect NAP for other Farm Clans as well.

Better be safe than sorry and only attack hills that don't have an alliance tag.

Upgrade your troop tunnel to level 11

 One of the clan requirements is that you upgrade your troop tunnel to at least level 11. This will give you four slots in the rallies for lizards and event creatures. It benefits both you and the clan.

You will need Refined Sand to upgrade the tunnel. You can buy it for diamonds. Note that buying in bulk gives the best price per item.

If your Lady Bug is at lv 13 or higher you will also find offers on the Refined Sand from time to time, these will always be cheaper. But don't wait on these if your troop tunnel is not on lv 11 yet, getting there has priority.

Contribute as much as you can in Clan Evolution

You can make a daily contribution to the Clan Evolution. Once completed these evolutions give benefits and buffs to the whole clan. Both in development and combat.

You can donate resources and if you want to go the extra mile, diamonds as well. Click on the evolution to see how much you pay for each donation. You can donate a maximum of 25 times at first and after that you get another chance to donate after the countdown under the button reaches zero.
So the earlier you start to donate during the day, the more donations you can make.

You can donate a maximum of 50 times with diamonds. The amount it costs will rise with each donation, starting with 2 and ending with 100.

A trick to spend less is to donate diamonds on different evolutions that are open for contribution. Each will start at 2 and count up from there. If you spread your donations over more than one evolution, you will spend less than when you all put it into the same one.

You will earn Contribution Points, which you can spend at the Clan Store. You will also contribute towards the Alliance points, which can be used by the R4/R5 to stock the Store.

You are free to choose, but consider the recommendations

When the countdown reaches zero you get another chance to contribute.

This evoltion costs less resources, but also gives less contribution points.

 

Log in daily

It is easy to get caught up in the game and things can get serious. But always remember it is a game and have fun. And real life has priority no matter what.

However, one of the requirements when you are in DWA is to log in daily. We have a policy that after three days of inactivity members get demoted first and after a max of five days they will be kicked.

No worries if you can't be online for a while. But if it is going to be more than two days, inform an R4 member beforehand,. If you want to take a break for a while you are also welcome to move your hill to our farm alliance DwA, where it will be safe.

If you do not have much time:

• put in your Clan Contribution,
• pick up your VIP points and rewards,
• grab the daily benefits,
• get some some free diamonds,
• start an evolution and some buildings if you can
• check if you can send a troop to the tree, or send them all out to gather.
  

This way you contribute to the clan and keep some progress for yourself.
